WebQuests

Teaching goal: to provide our students with a standards based curriculum that is engaging, promotes understanding, and makes excellent performance more likely.

Our intent is to provide students with tasks and links to the world that encourage exploration and in-depth learning. The focus is on using information rather than looking for it. Each web quest offers real world experiences and a variety of resources, all specifically chosen to support and enrich California State Standards. WebQuests require more than simply regurgitating information.    They require higher level thinking skills, such as creativity, analysis, synthesis, judgment and problem-solving.

Each webquest is an integral part of a unit co-designed by the appropriate grade level teachers. These units were developed following the guidelines of Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe in their book,   Understanding by Design. Click on the "Teacher" button to view these units.
