Did you know this month is School Bus Safety Month? At the start of the school year, our Transportation Supervisor, Skip Penny, led bus evacuation drills to ensure that our students are prepared in case of an emergency. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, students are about 70 times more likely to get to school safely when taking a bus instead of traveling by car. Thank you to all the school bus drivers and mechanics who help keep students safe on the school bus. Interested in having your child take the bus? Check out our Transportation Page for more information: https://www.loma.k12.ca.us/page/transportation

Early learning and later life success depends on attending school. There are long-term positive outcomes for youth who attend school each day. Creating routines for strong attendance can help youth avoid chronic absenteeism.
